Five Question Friday

Alas, the weekend is upon us once more!  I feel like this week by really quick, but that usually means that the weekend will speed by me.  I need to enjoy my weekend!  Today I have to take the hubby to the dentist for a root canal {his other anniversary present!}.  He's been in pain all week.  This was the soonest he could get in.  Tomorrow I'm planning on cleaning the garage.  August 8th we celebrate one year since we closed on the house and I kept saying that I want to be completely moved in by the year mark...funny how fast that came around.  Then Sunday we're having my parents and my aunt from Pittsburgh over for a yummy dinner!!  I'll be sure to post some pictures of that!!

Here's Five Question Friday!

1. What is a must in a hotel room?

Pillows!!  Lots and lots of pillows!  Michael messes with me because when he's not in the bed, I have to have a pillow on either side of me.  We have a king size bed and I sleep on about a quarter of it.  The other quarter of the half is covered in pillows.  I don't know why I do.  It just makes me feel safe.

2. Which Olympic event would you be best at?

Starting projects, but never finishing them.  Yup, that would be the one I'd win the gold in.  Every time!!  =P

3. What is your stance on the Chick-fil-A subject?

This is a tricky one.  I actually pulled myself out of this ridiculous debate last weekend.  I said what I needed to say and that was it.  This is what I posted: Okay. I'm going to say this and it will be the last thing I say. My beliefs are just that. My beliefs. I gave a lot of gay friends and I love them dearly. But I do not believe or agree with same-sex marriage.  With all those that are slamming CFA and the Cathy family, I need you to tell me something. When do they ever say they HATE homosexuals? Just because they stood up for their beliefs does not mean the same thing as HATE. Give it a rest. Comment how you will. I'm not responding. I'm off my soap box.

4. One thing you said you'd never do as a parent, but totally have.

Well, I'm not a parent yet, so there's that.  Ü  But I always said {when I was much younger} that I wouldn't treat my kids the way my parents treated me.  Remember, back then every punishment was considered cruel and unusual!  Haha!!  Now, I know better.  My mom did a great job and I turned out to be the well-adjusted person I am today.  Hehehe...So now?  I don't know what I'd never do...

5. What is the weirdest thing you've ever found at a yard sale?

I don't frequent yard sales often.  But this totally reminds me of the movie Where the Heart Is.  Natalie Portman and James Frain are walking around a consignment sale looking for a gift for Stockard Channing. Natalie Portman picks up a toupee off the table and James Frain asks, "Good God.  Who would buy somebody else's toupee?"  That part cracks me up every time!  {BTW...I totally love that movie and cry almost every time I watch it!}

Happy Friday! Ü

  1. Um that's because Where The Heart Is is the best! And pillows are just amazing. They are all squishy and comfy and just say hey stay in bed a little while longer because well we're awesome and being awake isn't. True story.

  2. Used toupee? Uh, no.

    And I like to have extra pillows when my husband is not in bed with me, too. It's kind of odd, because it's not like I spend all night, every night snuggled up right next to him, but I know he's there. And when he's not, something has to take his place!
