30 Day Writer's Challenge | Day 6

Music makes the world go round.  For as long as I can remember, being involved in music has been the one thing that kept me out of trouble in middle and high school - well most of the time.  The right music can completely change your day around, much like the Beatles do for me.  :)  It's a universal language of sorts as it can touch everyone.

At the moment, I am listening to Straylight Run's "Existentialism on a Prom Night."  It is by far one of my favorite songs and music videos.  It's one song that can completely make everything bad in the world melt away.  I no longer think about the trivial problems that I have and it just puts me in a completely different place.  

 

Music is amazing that way.  It can enter into your core and change everything around you.  I am a very emotional person so trust me when I say that music can change an emotional state.  Sometimes I like to write with certain songs in the back ground.  They lyrics and emotion manage to come out in my writing.  Like right now, all I hear around me is the piano playing and singing.  And I smile.

 

This is a short post today.  But I am now in a much happier place than I was ten minutes ago.  Just because of a song...and it's Friday.
