...just keep swimming...

Day 1 of swimming is complete.  Man, I feel worse than I did when working out with Kevin at boot camp.  I knew swimming was tough, but dang!  I feel like saying "I'm swimming every morning" doesn't have the same connotation as "I'm working out every morning".  I feel like this will help me stick with it.  It's actually quite relaxing too.  There was one other person there while dad and I were doing laps.  It was quiet.  I bought a waterproof Otter Box for my iPod, but I forgot to charge it.  So no tunes this morning.

I completed 10 laps (to one end and back) in 30 minutes.  Three laps swimming forward.  Three laps going backwards - squid style.  (That one actually started burning.)  Three laps forward - froggy style.  One lap doing a backstroke.  All in all, I think I did pretty good.  Let's see if we can keep this momentum going.


  1. Nubia! sounds good... just try to add a lap every day. You can also do laps just kicking (with kickboard) or just doing arms. ... A waterproof otter box.. I always wanted one of those -- That's super cool. And yes we DO need to hang out! Lunch, dinner, anytime!
