25 Days to be Thankful | Day 2
This is my 100th post. What a milestone. And for this 100th post, my 2nd day of what I am thankful for.
Today (and everyday really, even though I may not say it), I am thankful for my mother. A couple posts ago I mentioned how grateful I am to have her in my life. But words can really not express how grateful I am. She has been such a beacon of inspiration. Her motivation and drive push me to become a better person. I only wish that I am half the mother that she has been to me.
She is funny and quirky and since I have matured a bit in the last several years, we definitely get along swimmingly. Ü I have been told numerous times that we look like sisters and people think I am her when I answer the phone. I have no problem with this. She is my mother and she is amazing.
In high school she would try to embarrass me by acting like a fool in front of my friends. Unfortunately it would back fire and I would act up back. I think I pissed her off more by not getting upset! Hahaha!! All the band kids loved her and I never once felt her support decrease.
My mother is crafty and one of the thriftiest people I know - especially when it comes to coupons. She's the only person I know that can go to Publix and spend one tenth of what is actually owed. I swear, it's a gift. She's taught me so many things. Words can not describe how much she means to me.
I love you, mommy.
