The One Where I Get a Ribbon!

I'm not going to lie, I was pretty ecstatic to find that there are people that really like my blog.  I mean, I know there are people reading it, but I often wonder, are some people reading because it is part of the UBC or because they are really interested in what their fellow bloggers have to say?  With that being said, I have to thank Cheri deFonteny over at Idle Chatter for passing along this ribbon.

Now, there are a few things I have to do/answer as well as passing it along to other.  So here goes:

1. Thank the blogger who gave you the ribbon and share the link back to the awarding blog.

Check.  {See above}

2. Name 5 fabulous moments in your life.
  1. The day I married my best friend.
  2. The day my nephew was born.
  3. The day I realized my mom is my best friend.
  4. The day my parents got married.
  5. The day my high school marching band took 7th at the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition.
3. Name 5 things that you love.
  1. Red meat.  {Hey, no one said I couldn't be materialistic!}
  2. My nephew.
  3. My husband and two little girls.  {Not actual children, they are our dogs. Ü }
  4. My amazing and giving parents.
  5. My siblings.
4. Name 5 things that you hate.
  1. Hearing the "f-" bomb.
  2. Over exaggerating.
  3. Spiders.
  4. Cleaning the bathroom.
  5. Unpacking.  {After almost a year, we're still in boxes.}
5. Pass the award to 5 deserving bloggers.
  1.  The first one would definitely have to be Mrs. Kyra Whitton over at Mrs. Quartermaster.  She's not part of the challenge, but she is a good friend and I love her posts!  She's a great writer.
  2. My dear friend Ms. Vicki Vaught at Random Musings of a Non-World Traveler.  She's also not part of the challenge but I do love her travel posts!!
  3. Lisa Selow has become a new favorite of mine.
  4. Angie Laurel at The Daily Hottentots.
  5. And last but not least, Monick Halm at Life Alchemy School.
Thank you to all of these people for giving me inspiration and friendship!!

  1. I think we've all had those moments of wondering if anyone is actually reading, and--if they are--do they actually like it? I'm glad to let you know that the answer is Yes and Yes!

    And, as for unpacking, I don't want to give you any bad ideas, but we've lived in our house for almost 14 years, and there are *still* boxes in closets that we've never emptied!

  2. Fun. I was glad to pass it along. And, I really have been enjoying these ribbon posts as I feel like it's letting me learn just a little more about the authors.

    Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who could really do without the "F word". Not that I'm particularly prudish or proper, or even particularly offended by its use, just that I think it's lazy, and classless, and typically unnecessary.

    1. Oh it really makes me so angry. And you're right. It's so lazy. I overheard some classmates one day and it was a cuss word and "f bomb" every few words. I really wanted to slap them and say "You're in college. Expand your vocabulary!"

  3. Thank you so much for passing along the blue ribbon! I am so honored!
