LML Monday! {Sept 17}

Lots to love this last week.  Ü

Took my adorable BFF Kim home to Alabama.  Not the greatest of drives, but it did allow for some time to drive in peace on the way home and just think about...things.  The week had a little rocky patch on Wednesday when I went back to work after a 4-day weekend, but I'm really trying to do what I can to keep a positive mind and not gripe about it so much anymore.

Friday was a whirl wind.  Work, school, drive to Buford, wedding, drive home...pass out.  That's pretty much how it went.  My friend Angelica got married {still can't believe how fast the time went by} and she look absolutely stunning!  I wish I had gotten my pictures up.  I helped with our announcements and they looked FABULOUS!  You can check out the whole set here.  I need to upload the table signs and the other signs we made.  The wedding was so much fun.  Saw an old coworker who left in July and met his wife.  Always fun.  But we were beat when we got home!

Since we knew Friday would be a late night, Michael called out on Saturday.  He's usually at work by 5 am and that would have been cruel.  So we took advantage of the day and went to Blue Ridge {a two hour drive} to pick apples {for an hour}.  Hahaha!  It was nice to just drive though and get away for a bit.  Of course, I passed out on the way home and he had to make the drive in silence.  Ü  That's how I am!  I'll add pics of that later.  The orchards were beautiful and it was really fun.  We got to eat as many apples as we wanted and we totally fell in love with cameos.  They're amazing!

My father {not to be mistaken with my dad} was in town and gave us very little notice, but we still met them for dinner.  My little brother had a soccer game about 15 minutes from our house.  It was actually nice and cordial.  Everyone talked and it didn't get awkward.  I know Michael stuck it out like a champ!  Love you, sweetie!

As for the Get Fit Challenge, I'm actually down 2 pounds, but I do know that working out requires some muscle build before fat loss.  Below are my points/pounds for this last week.  Michael is definitely rocking it with his trikking.  He clears 6 miles in just over 30 minutes.  Can't wait to get a hang of that!!  We're eating much healthier and keeping track of what we eat and working out.  It'll be awesome to see how we do by the end of 8 weeks!!  Here goes with week 2!

  1. Congrats on your fitness challenge progress. I still haven't found the willpower to get started back on mine, but I keep intending to. I've got my alarm set to get up tomorrow morning for a run, but it's already very much later than I should've been in bed, so we'll see if I manage to get up or just hit the snooze a few dozen times. Keep up your great work!

    1. Thanks girl!! I was the same way last month when the hubby and I tried to start walking in the morning. Now we just make ourselves...well, I get up and then wake him up with the flash of the bathroom light. Ü
